Effective Date: March 2026
Company: Be Travelist

At Be Travelist, we understand that sometimes even the best-laid plans can change. However, organizing mindful journeys and safe Himalayan treks requires us to make non-refundable advance payments to our local homestays, transport partners, and expert guides well in advance.
To maintain fairness for our local partners and our travelers, we have formulated a transparent Cancellation and Refund Policy.
1. Cancellation by the Traveler
If you need to cancel your booked journey, you must notify us in writing via email at hello@betravelist.com. The date we receive your written cancellation will determine the refund amount.
Our standard cancellation charges are as follows:
30+ Days before the departure date:
Option A: 90% Refund of the total trip cost (10% retained as administrative charges).
Option B: 100% Lifetime Trek Voucher (Can be used for any future trip).
15 to 29 Days before the departure date:
Option A: 50% Refund of the total trip cost.
Option B: 70% Trek Voucher for future use.
7 to 14 Days before the departure date:
Option A: 25% Refund of the total trip cost.
Option B: 40% Trek Voucher for future use.
0 to 6 Days before the departure date (or No-Show):
Strictly No Refund and No Voucher.
2. Cancellation by Be Travelist (Prior to Departure)
Your safety is our ultimate priority. If Be Travelist cancels a batch before departure due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather warnings, road closures, political unrest, or not meeting the minimum group size), you will have the following options:
A 100% Full Refund of the amount paid.
A free transfer to another batch or a different destination of the same value.
3. Mid-Trip Cancellations & Alterations
The Himalayas are unpredictable. If a trek or travel itinerary must be altered, cut short, or cancelled after it has officially begun due to natural disasters, heavy snowfall, landslides, or any local authority orders, no refunds will be provided. The costs for the logistics, guides, and stays are already incurred by that point. Any additional costs arising from extended stays or alternate transport due to such emergencies must be borne by the traveler.
4. Medical Cancellations During the Trip
If you have to abandon the trek mid-way due to Altitude Sickness (AMS), lack of fitness, or personal medical emergencies, no refund will be issued. Our trek leaders’ decision regarding your fitness to continue will be final and binding.
5. The “Trek Voucher” Policy
To support our community of mindful explorers, we highly encourage opting for a Trek Voucher instead of a cash refund.
Vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
They can be used for any Be Travelist group departure.
Vouchers are non-transferable and must be used by the original person who booked.
6. Refund Processing Time
All approved refunds will be processed back to the original source of payment (Bank Account, UPI, or Credit/Debit Card) within 7 to 10 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
